dpkg-reconfigure gdm3 gives:

Job for gdm.service failed. See 'systemctl status gdm.service' and
'journalctl -xn' for details.                   
invoke-rc.d: initscript gdm3, action "reload" failed.

/usr/sbin/gdm3
