Sorry, this was with jessie (215-17+deb8u2), I have not tried this with sid.

# sudo -u backuppc env SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/run/backuppc/ssh-agent.sock DISPLAY=:0 SSH_ASKPASS=/bin/systemd-ask-password ssh-add </dev/null
Failed to create password file: Permission denied

# ls -ld /run/systemd/ask-password
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 40 Sep  9 20:52 /run/systemd/ask-password
