There are two options here.  One is to make /dev/.static/ readable by
all users, to avoid the permission denied error from df.  The other is
to remove /dev/.static/dev from /etc/mtab.  The latter will remove the
error message from df while creating a new error message from umount
during shutdown when all file systems are umounted.

I'm not quite sure what is best.  If I got it right, you maintain
udev.  What is your opinion on this.  Why is /dev/.static/ unaccesable
for non-root users?
