Yeah.  Which version of sysv-rc is this?  I believe it was fixed in
version 2.86.ds1-58.

It is a bad design desicion from way back.  I have no idea why it was
done.  Getting this fixed without changing all symlinks is very hard,
as it require a lot of packages to change at the same time.  Switching
to dependency based boot sequencing using insserv will solve this, but
it will take a while before all installations uses that. :)
