Thanks for pointing it out Dmitry.

Symlinking of mtab to /proc/mounts also seems to change/stop the user= mount
option from working properly.

Do the benefits of symlinking mtab -> mounts outweigh possible regressions
related to loop device mounting or user= mount option?
