% mount | grep /tmp
tmpfs on /tmp type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,size=4763920k)

If you set RAMTMP=yes, this will only take effect when you next
reboot your system.

Could you perhaps show an example?  If it's not in /proc/mounts, then
it's not there.

What is the output of:
% ls -ld /tmp
% mount | grep /tmp
?
