In fact, the real problem is not solved, but it is "workarounded"
directly in glibc 2.7-13:

   * Disable call to "GL(dl_wait_lookup_done)" in linuxthreads builds.
     Proper solution still have to be created. Stop crashes in mean time.
     See #489066.

The proper fix have to be done also in glibc.

It used to segfault also on hppa, see threads started by

confirmed by
     http://lists.debian.org/debian-hppa/2008/07/msg00005.html
and http://lists.debian.org/debian-glibc/2008/07/msg00011.html

Definitely, it is not problem in tcl8.5, unloading dll
does not lead to segfault anymore, glibc 2.7-13 (at least)
will be in lenny.
