[Pkg-tcltk-devel] Time to migrate to 8.5 in unstable?

The transition to tcl8.5 as default has been at stake for quite a long time
now and I thought a decision had been taken already.

I'm not a Debian developer but I'm maintaining libapache2-mod-rivet, which is
related to both Apache and tcl. The package got into sid last November and is
waiting for the freeze to end with the release of squeeze. I let it depend on
tcl8.5 explicitly instead of the generic depend on the package tcl. The
features introduced in 8.5 are now in the habits of a Tcl programmer and quite
a few projects in the field of web programming are designed for the new
features that (hopefully!) will be in 8.6. So I encourage strongly to move to
8.5 as default in sid.
