Dear Debian hackers,


empathy crashed for me hitting the webcam icon during an audio call. I
reported this upstream [1]. Trying to debug it further I installed as
suggested [2] the GStreamer debug symbols

        sudo aptitude install gstreamer0.10-plugins-{bad,base,good,ugly}-dbg

and the following packages were installed too.

        [INSTALLIEREN, ABHÄNGIGKEITEN] gstreamer0.10-alsa
        [INSTALLIEREN, ABHÄNGIGKEITEN] gstreamer0.10-esd
        [INSTALLIEREN, ABHÄNGIGKEITEN] gstreamer0.10-sdl
        [INSTALLIEREN, ABHÄNGIGKEITEN] gstreamer0.10-x

in addition to.

        [INSTALLIEREN] gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-dbg
        [INSTALLIEREN] gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-dbg
        [INSTALLIEREN] gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-dbg
        [INSTALLIEREN] gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-dbg

I could not reproduce the crash afterward. I will report upstream that
they should not crash. But maybe Debian should add appropriate packages
recommendations too?
