Well known problem. We are discussing this on the tetex maint list since
some time, but since there is no general hook command in dpkg there is
no good solution, which also ensures that a breakage is attributed to
the right package.

Well, if you only uninstall one package it is not useless. It all
depends on the "end of the dpkg run" hook stuff.
