[Pkg-texlive-maint] Bug#380227: texlive-bin: Why is the source in a tar.bz archive?

Package: texlive-bin
Severity: minor

Hi Norbert, hi all,

why does the texlive-bin source package contain a file source.tar.bz2
instead of unpacked sources? I find that very inconvenient to work
with, and it's against the spirit of a Debian package IMHO. If the
argument of saving space would be important, someone would have extended
dpkg-source to be able to read bz2 (or 7zip) archives already.

Regards, Frank
