I am running kernel around 2.6.39 and X around 1.10 but this has been an
issue for a long time with earlier versions as well.

I am using XMonad window manager and I am usually running scim.

On both machines I use this occasionally happens.

I have no idea how to reproduce this, it just happens occasionally at
random.
