I would be horribly mistaken, if NM actually interferes with your
keyboard (and if so, it would be probably a weird side effect, like hal
misclassifying the keyboard etc.). But you can easily test that:
Just stop NM: /etc/init.d/network-manager and see what happens.
Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the
universe are pointed away from Earth?
