Subject: network-manager: incorrectly signals applications to go offline with no managed interfaces
Package: network-manager
Version: 0.7.1-1
Severity: normal

When network-manager does not find any managed interfaces (e.g. eth0 is
managed through /etc/network/interfaces like on the default install) it
seems to signal applications that they should work offline (at least
evince and liferea do this). This is pretty annoying because every time
I start up my computer I have to manually say that applications should
go online.

My /etc/network/interfaces:
auto lo eth0
iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet dhcp
