Gnome installed using taskell.

xdm. as gdm have some bugs with keyboard input and gdm restarts Xorg
without reasons.

It can be bad interaction with xdm, you are right.

yes, version 0.96-2. also nacassary libraries.

yes as user.

and also polkitd as root.


both polkitd and polkit-gnome-..agent
do not look to consume more than 1% of CPU.
