Dear Maintainer,
This bugs bites me too. Contrary to the OP:
- I'm using Sid.
- I'm not using nVIDIA graphics cards.
- I'm directly using the power button set to suspend.
In my case, on resume, the Network Manager icon (GNOME 3
fallback) shows no connection. However, the network is
actually up, except that no DNS is set in /etc/resolv.conf.
If I do echo nameserver 192.168.2.1 >> /etc/resolv.conf I
get my network back, but outside of Network manager, which
still shows the network as disconnected. Sometimes I lose
IPv6 connectivity.
Also, the NM menu shows all of my network cards, so it
appears not to be a driver problem.
In the same way as the OP:
- /etc/init.d/network-manager restart fixes the problem.
Sometimes I have to reconnect and I get full connectivity
again.
All of the above happens randomly.
