[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#636137:

I had submitted bug 684352 only to realize today that it is a duplicate of
this bug.

I'm also having this bug with network-manager-kde in Debian Wheezy.
Here is my network state when it is ready to connect to wireless networks..

Miho:/home/david# rfkill list all
0: hp-wifi: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no
1: phy0: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no
Miho:/home/david#

If I then uncheck the "wireless networking" checkbox in
network-manager-kde, my wireless
goes into this unrecoverable (without rfkill) state:

Miho:/home/david# rfkill list all
0: hp-wifi: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no
1: phy0: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: yes
Miho:/home/david#

The wireless checkbox in network-manager-kde is now greyed out and CANNOT
be checked because it believes the hardware to be blocked with a hardware
switch.. Which simply isn't the case as I can do a simple "rfkill unblock
all" which puts my network back into this state:

Miho:/home/david# rfkill unblock all
Miho:/home/david# rfkill list all
0: hp-wifi: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no
1: phy0: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no
Miho:/home/david#

The checkbox in network-manager-kde is no longer greyed out and I can
select it, after which the network-manager starts scanning for wireless
networks and is ready to connect.

At first I thought this might be a kernel bug, then I thought it might be a
network-manager-kde bug, but after seeing this bug report I think it's a
network-manager bug.

My Wireless hardware is as follows:

Miho:/home/david# lspci | grep Wireless
06:05.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG
[Calexico2] Network Connection (rev 05)
