My /var/log/daemon.log file has almost nothing in it but stuff like
this:

This makes it /var/log/daemon.log *VERY* frustrating to use, and it
seems highly pointless, given that it seems to always deregister every
record immediately after registering it.  If that's not what's
happening, I'm still not sure why something that happens multiple times
per minute is so interesting that it needs to get two in the log every
damn time!
