I have a similar stretch/sid system, XFCE with lightdm. Currently with
kernel:
Linux debian 4.2.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.2.1-2 (2015-09-27) x86_64
GNU/Linux
using sysvinit.core instead of systemd-sysv.
My "problem" is that my system works without this bug with policykit-1
0.112-5.3.1~really-0.105-8
I have no idea what update installed this version. If i look for it in
the Debian package repositories
in Main under policykit-1, package version 0.112-5.3.1 is not displayed.
To make matters more confusing when I had this bug on a similar system,
I tried to fix it by installing
version 0.113-1 from experimental. This created a right mess which after
several trial and error'
ad hoc fixes got me to version 0.112-5.3-1, again without a clue for
where this package came from.
Anyone have any ideas. I have the same bug on my laptop which I'd like
to fix but I opted for
systemd-sysv instead rather than risk losing the current setup.

Yours,

Bernard L. Cohen
