[Pkg-vala-maintainers] Why vala 0.7.1 and not 0.6.1

Hello,
I created and maintain two vala-based projects,
which I want to package for debian/ubuntu:
http://www.hansfbaier.de/wordpress/libprolooks/
http://www.hansfbaier.de/wordpress/jackpanel/
(both are already debianized)
They both don't compile with Vala 0.7.0 / 0.7.1 anymore
due to serious bugs introduced with the reworked header file generation
and beyond.
I consider 0.7.x unusable since it has serious bugs.
Why is 0.6.1 not included?
(The packages build fine with it)
Hopefully those issues will be fixed in a future release of Vala,
when it will be feasible to use it for my projects again.
What is your Vala version policy?
Are there projects with vala as build-dep which work with Vala 0.7.x?
Why not supply 0.6.1 only until 0.7.x gets usable?
Kind regards,
Hans
