You can customize the hooks by editing the files:

/etc/vdr/command-hooks/commands.custom.conf
/etc/vdr/command-hooks/reccmds.custom.conf
/etc/vdr/recording-hooks/R90.custom
/etc/vdr/shutdown-hooks/S90.custom

All you have to known is described in these files.

If you create your own hooks in a new package you have to read the
documentation of the vdr package: /usr/share/doc/vdr/README.Debian.gz.
