I already read that short description. But I never used subversion, nor 
used any version control system for my debian packages, so I guess I 
have lots to learn. I'll try to do my best, and ask rather than make 
mistakes, but please tell me if I do anything wrong.

I just gave it a quick look, and it looks like there are a few things 
that need changing in debian/control:
  - move to section contrib/misc (because em8300-headers is in contrib)
  - kill the "Origin: ctvdr" line
  - change the maintainer to "Debian VDR Team <pkg-vdr-dvb-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org>"
  - kill the "Bugs:" line
Is it alright?
BTW, who is Peter Siering?

Well, I guess I should first understand how both repositories interact. 
Why not have everything in a single repository?
