me-tv / dvb-apps - /usr/lib/libdvbapi.a clash

Hi Mark,

sorry but I haven't had time until now to answer. As I have a new
version of me-tv to sponsor it's time to look into this issue again.

It contained a copy indeed. But I don't get where there are no
libdvb-apps-dev and libdvd-apps packages. Why does a normal user who
only needs the scan files and the library have the headers installed?

The package is relatively small, though, but I still think that at least
the development files (.h and .a) should be split out.

But looking at the libraries contained in the package: do they have
proper SONAMEs? They do not look like it, which would make linking
and using them a lottery because rdeps could be broken at will through
ABI changes. I guess we could have that for Lenny if the library is
frozen and no API and ABI changes are done to them, but somehow I fear
that subsequent uploads could break rdeps with no obvious indicator.
(I.e. fail at runtime, leaving us to determine which version was used
to build the rdeps from the build logs alone.)

Kind regards,
