Hi,

During a rebuild of all packages in sid, your package failed to build on i386.

This rebuild was done with gcc 4.3 instead of gcc 4.2, because gcc 4.3 is now
the default on most architectures (even if it's not the case on i386 yet).
Feel free to downgrade this bug to 'important' if your package is only built
on i386, and this bug is specific to gcc 4.3 (i.e the package builds fine with
gcc 4.2).

About the archive rebuild: The rebuild was done on about 50 AMD64 nodes

 	Hi!

   I remember some time ago asking for vdr-plugin-burn in Debian, but the 
problem was that it needs Project-x which in turn requires java. Project-x 
is now packaged in Ubuntu, since there is openjdk it can be built against. 
Unfortunately, openjdk is not yet in Debian but AIUI it should be there 
sooner or later. Could vdr-plugin-burn be added then?

It's not released yet in Debian, but this works fine so far on e-tobi.net.

It think Thomas will upload vdr 1.6.x with the Make.config solution to
unstable soon.

At the moment, this plugin depends also on other non-free packages, like
mjpegtools. Besides this, vdr-burn is 0.1.0~pre21 for nearly 2 years
now. It seems upstream development has stopped. So at the moment, this
is a no-go and I even wouldn't consider uploading it to non-free.

BTW: Someone asked me recently, if there is a Ubuntu repository
available, that has all the packages I provide on e-tobi.net. Do you
know of such a repository? If not, it might be a good idea, to provide
one. At the moment I don't have the resources for building another set
of packages (it already takes more than half a day to compile
everything), otherwise I would do it myself.

Hmm, good point.. I didn't notice mjpegtools. Too bad if it's dead 
upstream.

There isn't but could be.. maybe I could host them on the ubuntu-vdr team 
package archive on launchpad.net. Then there would be no need to add 
crackful plugins in the archive :) Do you have some semi-automatic script 
to upload stuff on e-tobi that I could utilize?

I have a but-ugly script that builds the packages right out of the svn
repository in different patch variants. It builds everything with
pbuilder/cowdancer for different distributions and in different patch
variants.

You're free to use it, but it might by tricky to set up. Best would be,
if we do this together. If you have some time over the weekend and can
give me SSH access, we could do this using Jabber and screen together.
Subversion, cowbuilder and Ruby are required.

I'm quite busy the next few weeks, but we could try again after the dust 
has settled. I'll also ask the other team member about this. Maybe the 
script could be even simpler; just check for new versions on e-tobi and 
build those instead, not from svn. Options... :)

This could work. You just have to take care of debian/patches/00list,
because the
source packages always contain the 00list for a Debian-Vanilla-VDR. The
00list files
for the multipach or extensions patch version (which is more interesting
to most users)
are available as separate downloads:

Je m'appel Appere stephanie  femme de Daniel Grillon, nous vivions en

in Debian's testing distribution has changed.
