I'm trying to understand why gvim, which correctly install its mime type
entry with dh_installmime, does not appear as a choice in nautilus "Open
With" menu for text/plain files.

Still, abiword, emacs, gedit and openoffice writer appears in that menu.
No matter if the corresponding package cares of installing mime type or
not (abiword does, emacs doesn't for example).

It seems that gnome uses a proprietary configuration for mime type
handlers. Anybody has an idea of how to configure it properly for gvim?

If not I will ask this question on the debian-gtk-gnome ML ...

Many thanks.
Cheers.
