Subject: After exit from vim the console is in a mass
Package: vim
Version: 1:6.3-071+1
Severity: important

*** Please type your report below this line ***
Hello, I'm using vim in gnome-terminal under gnome 2.8.

When I `cd' into some directory tree, whose names are chinese ones and
are
encoded in UTF-8, and open some file with VIM, everything is OK. Then,
when I
exit from VIM, the console would in a mass, that is, the prompting
information
would change from something like `<user>@<path>' to something
uncognizable,
although the locale has been changed in VIM session.

Moreover, I have tried `vim -u NONE -U NONE' and got the same result.
