very strange behaviour:
occasionally, when i run gvim from CL, it'll start up normally, but it
will start the shrink the window down until i only see the command line
in it. i have the "bottom bar" set to 2 lines, instead of one. it then
doesn't respond to any commands until it's finished shrinking, and when
i try to re-expand the window, it starts doing it again. cute, but
annoying, an animated gvim heheh.
this also happens with vim-gtk (which i probably have to file a
different bug for).
