dpatch handles large patch sets as it handles the small ones :) Patches
in debian/patches/* + 00list to list the patches you like. I don't know
quilt, so I probably don't know what features which are peculiarly
useful for large patch sets you've mind.

So ... your turn, please enlighten me :-)

Regarding the patch editing, has quilt something like
{cdbs,dpatch}-edit-patch, or perhaps the former can be directly used
with quilt?
