Package: vim
Version: 5.8.003-1
Severity: wishlist

The screen vim displays when there is a .swp file present matching the
file it's been told to edit is exactly 26 lines tall.

Most terminals are 25 or 24 lines tall. On any terminal of 26 or fewer
lines, vim will prompt for "-- More --" and paginate the file. (It's
rather weird it does this on a 26 line terminal, since it could and does
fit the entire thing on the screen after prompting for More, but that's
a seperate issue..)

It seems that it would be quite easy to make the entire thing fit on a
25 or even 24 line screen. One of the two blank lines between 2) and the
prompt could go for example.

This would have the nice result of saving us all a keypress every time
vim displays this prompt.

(I know that the prompt can be shortened with some config option or
other, but I like the full prompt, I just dislike the unnecessary
pagination.)
