Package: vim
Version: 1:7.1-056+2
Severity: wishlist

Please set syntax=on as default on the install config file.

There are almost no moments in which
you will not want the syntax, and
those moments are lived by people
that knows how to edit a config file.

Each time I install a machine I have
to edit the config file, and
more sadly, many times I help a friend
to fix a problem, found the suntax off.
I turn it on and the machine user always
wants to keep it.

Next time I will give him or her the number
of the bug, to vote for it.

:)

Thanks!

Tatiana
