Package: vim
Version: 2:7.3.315-1+b1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

if i resize my terminal emulator, vim will not correspond to the change and the text inside of vim will not resize.
I had a discussion with another debian user earlier on #debian at irc.debian.org who pointed out the bug and we both
can confirm that this is an issue in wheezy for different terminal emulators namely rxvt-unicode-256color, xterm
and gnome-terminal.

I've made a downgrade to an earlier version of vim in squeeze 7.2.445+hg~cb94c42c0e1a-1 and the resizing behaviour
of vim is back to normal.

The bug is easily reproducible in Debian Testing by running vim inside one of the mentioned terminal emulators.
I think it is related to the latest change to python 2.7. Before that vim was working as intended.
