Is the module build? What happens if you try modprobing it, any error? Also
dmesg output might be helpful.

Giving us the build errors might be helpful too. It's rather difficult to judge
what's going without detail information. Could it by that you don't have the
neccessary packages installed? "m-a prepare" might help.
