I should have made it clear right from the beginning I do not merely
want to build a private backport for myself, but I want to prepare one
that can be pushed to the official Debian backports repository, as
I've done in the past already.

And, as I explained already, the kbuild bug I mentioned has to be
fixed *before* this can happen: one should not push to
squeeze-backports a backport of a package that has not entered
testing yet.
