color in the asterisk CLI

I've unapplied all the patches (dpatch deapply-all), and ran:

  make clean
	make asterisk

then ran, as root:

  /path/to/asterisk -vvvvvv

Still no colors.

My default terminal is uxterm. I've tried konsole, gnome-terminal,
mlterm and urxvt as well. The system is sarge. Source tree is 1.0.7
