then you should look at RedHat downloads or try yum. Maybe CentOS can
help too. In case you do not find asterisk prepackaged, then you should
use the source from asteriskpbx.com.

Not that I would use RedHat, but IIRC it does ship rpms for asterisk.
Use the installation media and package management to install the version
coming with it. Further assistance can surely be provided by RedHat
support.

Yes, but please note that we're the maintainers for Debian and we do not
provide any specific support for any other distro. So, you should direct
your questions to RedHat or maybe asterisk upstream mailinglists.

Especially each distro has its own specific configuration targets and we
have no idea what the optimization for RedHat is and what its according
problems/known fixes are.
