Status of misdn support

Hello,
I would like to use misdn but the package (both the kernel module) and
the asterisk channel seems a bit outdated to me (just look at the
long-standing bug reports).

Also, those packages are not mantained by the pkg-voip team that has
wonderful things like the autobuilder for various distributions :)

Is it possible to make the package in shape? it's not even in Etch any
more, and there is no amd64 version.

I tried to send Simon Richter a couple of mails on the subject but I had
no response.
