Greeting,

June Wallack (http://www.junewallack.com/), with financial support from
Digium, recently recorded a full set of voice prompt in French for
Asterisk. This is of particuliar interest to French-Canadian users of
Asterisk, as she got the right accent for the locale. The Subversion
repo for these prompts are at :
  http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk/sounds/fr/trunk

I would be interested in packaging these prompts for Debian. I would
like to know if you would be interested in accepting such a package.

If you do, one issue we might face is the naming of the package. Since
there is already an asterisk-prompt-fr package, we would have to find
something else. I was thinking about asterisk-prompt-fr-ca, but I am
not really qualified for making such a decision.

Also, please note that I am a green newbie as far as packaging for
Debian goes. I will probably just mimic the way other aterisk-prompt-*
packages are setup, but I might need a little help making sure my
package respect the appropriate Debian policy.

Thanks for your consideration,

Etienne Goyer
