If you can't see how it helps to have a bug on the BTS that someone
reproduced at the time it was submitted then you don't understand how
the BTS works. Please do not manipulate bugs in the BTS if you don't
understand how the BTS works.

A bug is not fixed automatically by waiting some amount of time or
just because new upstream releases happened. A bug is fixed when it's fixed.

I was also the submitter, and it is irritating to see a bug which I
submitted being closed without doing ANYTHING at all to fix it, just
wait and hope that it "would" be fixed. That's NOT how the BTS works.
Bugs are fixed when they are fixed.

Going back to the bug itself:

I'm trying to reproduce the bug in this way:

On the powerpc, having IP 192.168.1.2

ohphone -n -l somefile.wav

On the amd64, having IP 192.168.1.5:

ohphone -n 192.168.1.2

I see a message like this:

Incoming call from "root [::ffff:192.168.1.5]" at Sun, 02 Dec 2007 15:10:41 +0100, answer call (Y/n)?

but no sound at all. Not even noise.

The powerpc is a 1st generation Mac Mini (without mic input). If this system
is not suitable to check this bug, someone else will have to do it.
