George,

I'm not sure we want to orphan kiax, as it has been released with etch and someone needs
to pick up the pieces when it breaks and requires security patches.

Given that it has been released with etch we are bound to provide some level of support.

We could I suppose, in theory, request removal from lenny (testing) and sid (unstable)
only provide support via stable-proposed-updates.

We are also in a similar position with kphone, which hasn't seen any/much upstream
action, there is kphone-si, but that hasn't moved very far forward either.

I do agree with your sentiments though, if upstream don't want to continue, then we are
making a rod for our backs by trying to support.

So in summary, I'm not happy to orphan as we have released with a stable release and thus
are bound to provide some level of support. I would be happy to remove from testing
/ unstable as the upstream have gone quiet..

Mark
