My name's Jean-Marc BTW :-) The Mumble author has already submitted all
the patches required by Mumble. He's gone to a great deal of effort to
completely change them in such a way that I could actually accept them
(i.e. changing not just formatting, but using less invasive hooks). All
these patches are now merged (except for a minor one I'll merge
tonight), so that the current Speex SVN can be used to build Mumble.
These patches are not yet part of an official release (1.2beta3 had
already been released when the issue came out), but they will be. And if
it's really important, I could tag the current svn as 1.2beta3.1 since
the only changes it contains are the ones for Mumble.

In summary, I'd say there's no major reason to hold off Mumble. While
I've never used it myself, it seems like many do. Also, considering the
amount of effort the author has gone through to really do things right
(re-work minimally invasive patches), I think his efforts should be
rewarded if at all possible.

	Jean-Marc
