Looks like you are not using the ffmpeg libraries distributed with
debian unstable. I noticed that I get webcam image corruption when I use
the ffmpeg libraries from debian-multimedia, for example.

Could you please try downgrading libavcodec52 and libswscale0 to the
version provided with Debian unstable?

If it does not solve your issue, I am uploading a new version of the
package (-4) with some additional webcam debugging.
When it will be available in unstable, please run it as
	OWLOGGER_DEFAULT=debug OWWEBCAM_FORCE_PALETTE=14 qutecom
and post here the logs.
