Package: zaptel-source
Version: 1:1.4.11~dfsg-3
Severity: normal

The ztdummy module, built via "m-a a-i zaptel", fails to insert on a stock 2.6.26-1-xen-686 kernel.

Dmesg shows:
[ 4895.475233] ztdummy: Unknown symbol rtc_register
[ 4895.475233] ztdummy: Unknown symbol rtc_unregister
[ 4895.475233] ztdummy: Unknown symbol rtc_control

It has been suggested (for example: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+timer+ztdummy) that
this can be fixed by commenting out USE_RTC, and thus effectively enabling the use of HPET. However,
HPET support is not in this kernel, according to my /boot/config-2.6.26-1-xen-686. Nor is support for
high resolution timers.

Manually building zaptel, using HPET instead of RTC, is successful. 'ztdummy' is able to load, although
it is not usable (audio is very slow and stutters).
