Supporting H.323 Stack in Stretch?

[ Ccing all maintainers/uploaders of the affected packages as well ]

Hi,

there are a number of H.323 related packages that will migrate to
Stretch in a couple of days due to a NMU fixing a FTBFS on h323plus

	h323plus
	gnugk
	openam

all of them are way behind upstream and have not seen maintainer
activity for 2+ years.

Is there anyone that steps up to maintain this package for the lifetime
of stretch? I for one have no idea about H.323 at all.

If there is no volunteer I'd propose filing an RC bug (keep of out
stretch) on h323plus and/or file an RM bug for all three of them. Same
for

	t38modem

which has not been part of testing for 4+ years.

Other H.323 related packages far behind are

	opal
	ptlib

but dropping those would mean dropping ekiga, which still seems to have
some users.

What do you think?

Bernhard
