I've already taken two comaintainers, but they seem to be just as busy.

If you mean *your* package, then there would be two reasons: First, as I
said, it should not go into unstable as is. At a minimum for an upload,
the distribution should be set to experimental. Second, I cannot sponsor
packages myself when I don't have a computer with Debian on it. The
rules for sponsorship say that the sponsor must build and test a
sponsored package, and I can't do that right now.
