[pkg-wine-party] Wine and Pulse

Hi guys,

What is you opinion on the http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10495 ?

The audio path Wine->ALSA->Pulse->ALSA->SoundHW causes a lot of
stuttering and even drop-outs for users. Applying patches from
http://art.ified.ca/?page_id=40 makes Wine able to output sound
directly to Pulse and all users that have tired this patch report
perfect audio and no stuttering when using direct Pulse output. I can
second that - I use some Windows software with sound and experience
constant stuttering with winealsa and no sound issues at all when
using winepulse. No regressions of any kind have been reported
anywhere that I could find.

There appears to be a political (?) flamewar preventing the inclusion
of these patches into upstream Wine.

Could we (Debian) include these patches directly to improve the
experience for our users until the upstream decided how they want to
fix this bug 'the right way'?
