sbuild uses chroot environments to build packages. Inside those chroots
it resolves the build-dependencies of a source package and calls
dpkg-buildpackage.

That part is easy: You build the 32-bit components on i386 and the
64-bit components on amd64. Cross-architecture dependencies are still a
bit tricky, though.
