I don't really see what should be different in the ubuntu branch to the
debian branch. So i think the line of development should be unified.

Scott, your latest upload was a quite work in progress state of our
experimental branch, dropping the init script completely. I agree that
Kels scripts are flexible enough to get rid of the init script. They
need mainly documentation and more testing. Please, look again at the
current state of wpasupplicant and tell me what changes are still
needed. If you agree, I'll happily upload a 0.4.8-0ubuntu2 to dapper
with the latest state of what we have in our experimental branch.

Otherwise please tell me what changes you would expect on the debian
side for merging the line of developments.
