I don't think there are any special requirements on our side; we would be happy
to conform with whatever the D-I team require.

I note and understand that while we may be working on such a patch now, it is
not to be uploaded until everyone, including D-I team agree[0].

After reading the above mentioned thread, I had a look at how busybox handles
build configuration for different build targets.

I think, to start helping you, the build config you desire could be provided,
and any initial changes (ie. debian/control udeb description etc) that you may
have made. Then I would be happy to spend some time learning how providing a
udeb works and co-operate to make this goal happen. I have for a while wanted
to help integrate wpa support into debian-installer, but lacked the motivation
and skill to do it, so very very glad you started this task ;-)

We can catch up on IRC too some time.
