iw is "Architecture: linux-any", neither are its build-dependencies
(libnl3) available on !linux-any, as such it will 'never' be built for
kfreebsd-any. Therefore I don't quite understand why this particular
issue gets reported.

iw uses nl80211 to talk to the Linux kernel's cfg80211 subsystem in
order to configure mac80211 softmac wlan drivers (even legacy drivers
like e.g. ipw2200 or staging ones like r8712u are not supported,
because these don't expose cfg80211/ nl80211 interfaces) and offers
limited functionality for cfg80211/ nl80211 powered hardmac wlan
drivers. These interfaces are specific to the Linux kernel and haven't
been implemented in any other kernel, therefore iw won't be built for
any other architecture in the forseeable future.

[ wheezy is frozen ;) well, the 3.5 upstream release was just 1-2 weeks
too late for approaching a sponsor - and anything >= 3.2 is safe for
wheezy's 3.2 linux kernel; backport users might want to get newer
versions to make use of new kernel features of backport kernels - but
that's beyond the scope of wheezy and unstable for the time being. ]
