[Pkg-xen-devel] Broken pygrub in xen-3.0

I have recently discovered when trying to configure a new domU that
pygrub is completely broken. That is, the missing Build-Depend on
e2fslibs-dev in xen-3.0 causes the ext2/3 python module to not be build.
Consequently, using pygrub fails miserably since the filesystem cannot
be read at all by pygrub.

Additionally, it is apparently not possible for pygrub to find its
library directory without setting
PYTHONPATH=/usr/lib/xen-default/lib/python somewhere (either the
xendomains init script or the xendomains default file). Of course, both
of those solutions are fragile since calling 'xm create' from the
command line will then fail unless PYTHONPATH is also set in the
environment there.

I was considering filing a bug. However, I wanted to ask for some input
first. Specifically, I'd like to know if this could be targeted for the
next stable point release. It is really crappy that such important
functionality is missing because of something as simple as an overlooked
build dependency.

Regards,

-Roberto
